2025 Honda Prologue
The 2025 Honda Prologue is an exciting vehicle because it continues Honda’s path toward electrification. The Prologue is one of Honda’s most unique vehicles because it sits in a corner of the lineup that’s still growing. The BEV concept—vehicles that run on electric motors and batteries instead of engines and fuels like gasoline or diesel—is no longer in its infancy. Although Honda entered the BEV market later than some of its competitors, the Prologue was all the evidence people needed to determine that Honda was ready for the BEV major leagues. We’re here to help you find a 2025 Prologue so you can drive home in your new BEV. We’ll show you our selection, answer your questions, and allow you to take any Prologue you wish for a test drive. Get ready to begin driving an exciting, modern BEV today with our assistance.

Performance
More Power
The 2024 Honda Prologue was the manufacturer’s first BEV SUV, meaning the 2025 model is its second attempt with the concept. The 2025 Prologue has several upgrades over its predecessor, namely improvements in horsepower, torque, and range between its two powertrain options. These improvements are noticeable despite the 2025 Prologue employing batteries identical to the 2024 models. Both use 85 kWh batteries. The battery is available with single motor and dual motor powertrain configurations, with the latter sporting more performance at the expense of around a dozen miles of range.
The 2025 Honda Prologue will produce 220 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque when you pair its battery with a single electric motor—a small but welcomed improvement over the 2024 model, which had 212 hp and 236 lb-ft. Pairing the 85 kWh battery with dual motors reveals another performance uplift, with 300 hp and 355 lb-ft of torque—a similar improvement over the 288 hp and 333 lb-ft of its predecessor. The 2025 Prologue’s dual-motor powertrain also means you get all-wheel drive, while the base powertrain has front-wheel drive. Both allow you to utilize the BEV’s maximum towing capacity of 1,500 lbs.
BEVs like the Honda Prologue promote smooth acceleration over traditional powertrains because they have no transmission shifting gears. However, the Prologue gives you the best of both worlds by providing a Sport Mode you can select at any point. The Sport Mode gives the Prologue a more punctual acceleration curve, giving the BEV a sharper driving feel.
Enhanced Range
Sport Mode expectedly zaps battery power quicker than the Prologue’s regular drive mode, but there are ways to extend your battery’s charge while driving. The 2025 Prologue has a paddle shifter behind the steering wheel that activates the Regenerative Braking feature. Regenerative Braking extends your battery life by capturing the energy normally wasted when your car begins slowing down and recycling the stored energy into the battery.
BEV efficiency has come a long way, and the 2025 Prologue is proof. 2025 Prologue models with front-wheel drive can travel an EPA-estimated 308 miles on a full charge.[b] All-wheel drive models can travel an EPA-estimated 294 miles with a full charge—283 miles for the Elite trim.[b] This is a substantial upgrade over its predecessor, where no powertrain could travel over 300 miles with a full charge. The 2025 Prologue’s front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive powertrains can both travel further than the 2024 model. The power and efficiency improvements may not seem like much at a glance, but they’re substantial upgrades for a vehicle’s second model year and not a mid-cycle refresh or full generational leap.
The 2025 Prologue can be charged at home with a Level 2 charging station. We’ll help you schedule an appointment to install Honda’s Level 2 charging station, and an available Honda Portable Charging Kit gives you everything you need to charge your vehicle anywhere you’ll find a standard plug when outside of the house. Finally, you can utilize public fast chargers when parked at a rest stop or a variety of shopping centers, malls, airports, and more.
Dimensions
Midsize Masterpiece
The 2025 Honda Prologue is a comfortable and spacious midsize SUV. There’s nothing unwieldy about the Prologue, and driving it is easy because maneuverability and accessibility were both considered. It’s 192 inches long, 78.3 inches wide, and 64.7 inches tall—all-wheel drive models are about half an inch taller. Clearance won’t be an issue thanks to its modest height, while its width and length allow for easier access to parking spaces.
The 2025 Prologue has impressive ground clearance, with 7.9 inches for front-wheel drive models and 8.1 inches for all-wheel drive models. Ample ground clearance renders all-wheel drive Prologue models off-road-capable for light to moderate off-road adventures. A set of 19-inch wheels are standard on every trim except for the Elite, where they’re replaced with a 21-inch set. Each trim also has standard all-season tires that are self-sealing on the Elite and provide temporary relief against punctures.
Spacious Interior
The 2025 Prologue has a maximum passenger capacity of five because it’s a two-row midsize BEV. The cabin provides 39.6 inches of front-row headroom and 38.1 inches for the second row—if you opt for a model with the panoramic roof, the measurements are slightly lower, measuring 38.2 inches for front-row headroom and 36.7 inches for second-row passengers. Legroom measurements are identical across the 2025 Prologue’s assorted trims, with 41.4 inches of legroom in the front and 39.4 inches of legroom in the second row.
Unlike several other BEVs, the 2025 Prologue doesn’t feature a frunk, meaning cargo is relegated to the back like a normal vehicle. However, Honda makes up for it by equipping the 2025 Prologue with ample cargo space regardless of whether you have the second-row seats folded or not. The 2025 Prologue has 25.2 cu.ft of cargo space with the second-row seats upright. Folding the second-row seats down increases the BEV’s maximum cargo space to 57.7 cu.ft.
Features
A Safe Choice
The 2025 Prologue is one of Honda’s most feature-rich automobiles. It provides something for everybody, whether your tastes include luxury, comfort, entertainment, connectivity, you name it. It’s also a very safe vehicle, thanks to a comprehensive standard safety suite. Honda Sensing features help make the 2025 Prologue a safe choice for your family, whether you’re driving with your loved ones on the freeway, around town, or even reversing out of a parking space.
The Prologue comes standard with safety features you’ve come to expect from most new vehicles. For example, Forward Collision Alert signals a warning before you collide with another vehicle, while Automatic Emergency Braking uses a combination of sensors to stop your vehicle before a collision. Front Pedestrian Braking is also standard, extending the functionality of Automatic Emergency Braking to not just vehicles but pedestrians. An available feature you’ll find useful is Traffic Sign Recognition—software that scans the road for signs and displays them on your dashboard, giving you a constant indication of speed limits and more.
Driving on the freeway in your 2025 Prologue provides a similar experience to Honda’s other offerings, which is to say that highway travel is easier and less treacherous. The 2025 Prologue comes standard with Lane Change Alert and Lane Keep Assist. Lane Change Alert informs you if there is a vehicle in your blind spot when you change lanes, and Lane Keep Assist uses slight steering inputs to keep your car in its lane.
What makes the 2025 Prologue’s safety suite feel complete out of the gate are inclusions like Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, and Blind Zone Steering Assist. All of these features use sensors to determine if vehicles are your blind spots, whether you’re reversing out of a parking spot or driving on a multi-lane freeway. Rear Cross Traffic Braking will stop your car if you’re in danger of colliding with a passing vehicle while reversing, and Blind Zone Steering Assist will provide steering adjustments to prevent you from merging into an occupied lane. The Prologue Elite has Rear Pedestrian Alert, meaning it can warn you of any pedestrians while reversing.
Functional Features
The 2025 Prologue has one of the most visually appealing interiors in Honda’s lineup. However, this form greatly complements its functions. For example, the 11-inch Digital Instrument Cluster is sleek to view and will provide the necessary information like your gauges and extras like media playback, turn-by-turn directions, and more. Next to it is the standard 11.3-inch infotainment center with Google built-in across every trim. This means the infotainment center has a dedicated app store and media apps separate from its smartphone connectivity features. However, it still has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Every 2025 Prologue trim has a wireless phone charger, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and SiriusXM radio compatibility. The Elite has a standard head-up display projected on the windshield that isn’t available on any other trim, but it shares its premium Bose audio system with 12 speakers with the Touring. Every trim has two USB-C ports in the front and two in the back, meaning everyone will have enough power to charge their devices while on the road.
The 2025 Prologue’s interior also benefits from leather seats on the Touring and Elite trims. These trims also have a leather steering wheel that’s heated on the Elite. Every trim comes with a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with power lumbar support. The front-row passenger gets a standard six-way manually adjustable seat, but the Touring and Elite upgrade this to a power-adjustable seat. Every trim has heated front seats, but ventilated seats are reserved for the top-tier trim.
