Honda Oil Change

Are you looking for a place that can perform a Honda oil change? We've got you covered! At Ralph Honda, our service center can perform an oil change on your Honda or any other vehicle. We're always happy to help. A good dealership does more than simply sell you a car; they help you maintain your vehicle. We certainly love our Hondas, but our real passion is cars, so we're happy to perform an oil change on whatever you're driving. It can be tempting to stretch your car to its limits to avoid incurring the costs of service and maintenance, but the unfortunate truth is that doing so can result in higher costs in the long term if your vehicle is damaged as a result. The best way to keep your car healthy and keep costs down is to give your vehicle the regular maintenance it needs, especially oil changes.

Why Are Oil Changes Important?

So, why are oil changes important? If you like driving your car, and we sure hope you do, your engine will see some wear and tear over time. This is not a bad thing as your engine is designed to handle some wear, but it can only do so if it gets the regular maintenance that it requires: especially oil changes.

As you drive, the moving parts in your engine produce friction, which releases heat. This is a normal part of engine operation, but if your engine doesn't have the fresh oil that it needs, it can overheat, which can turn into a big problem. Aside from the fact that your car might start running poorly, your engine will begin to see excessive wear and could even seize up entirely. That will end up being far more expensive than regular oil changes!

Additionally, your engine can ingest dirt and debris during its adventures on the open road. Changing the oil helps flush out all of this foreign material before it can damage the engine and reduce its performance. We want to make sure that you have the best ride you can in your car!

Aside from the fun times to be had with an engine running at peak performance, you can save more money by keeping up to date on oil changes. Believe it or not, regular oil changes can help optimize your car's fuel economy. Better fuel economy means fewer stops for gas, fewer stops for gas means less money spent at the pump, and less money spent at the pump means more money saved for the things you need!

Don't delay getting an oil change. You'll have more fun driving your car, and you'll save more money over time by doing so!

While You're at It…

Oil changes are one of the most important parts of vehicle maintenance, but they aren't the only important part! There are several other vital services you should have taken care of while getting an oil change, all of which can affect your vehicle's health in the short term and over time.

Closely related to oil changes are air filter changes. Now, there are two different types of air filters that may need changing: the cabin air filter and the engine air filter. Both are important, as the cabin air filter affects the air quality inside the vehicle, and the engine air filter affects the air quality inside your engine. Your passengers' ability to breathe clean air is, of course, essential, but your engine's ability to breathe clean air is also critical.

Getting your engine air filter changed will help eliminate any dirt or dust that may be mucking up your engine and reducing its performance. Even if you don't feel it, your engine feels it, and you'll find out sooner or later, so you might as well take care of it sooner. When it comes to your cabin air filter, city dwellers will want to make this a definite priority, as air pollution tends to be higher in urban areas and can negatively affect cabin air quality. We want you breathing freely! You should be able to enjoy your drive.

Speaking of enjoying the ride, it is vitally important that you take care of the part of your car which takes the brunt of the drive: the tires. Tire rotation is an often-overlooked yet very helpful service to maintain your vehicle's long-term health and performance. During this service, the front and rear tires are switched; in other words, the front tires move to the rear, and the rear tires move to the front. Depending on the car, we may even switch the left and right sides as well.

This is because the front and rear tires experience different amounts and types of wear and tear. If they wear unevenly, your handling can be negatively affected, and you can have performance or even safety issues. The best and cheapest way to make sure your tires wear evenly is to have them rotated regularly. Your owners' manual will tell you how often the tires should be rotated for your specific vehicle. But, if you're unsure, come on in, and we'll tell you!

Now, sometimes your tires are just worn out and need to be replaced. It is vitally important that you have them replaced (not rotated) at this point because driving on worn-out tires can be hazardous and expensive. If your tires are worn-out and you end up in an accident due to an unexpected flat, a blown-out tire, or any other issue that may arise, you'll end up spending far more time and money than it would have cost to replace them. Not to mention the fact that any one of the previously-mentioned possibilities poses serious safety issues that we want you to avoid. We know how tempting it is to stretch your tires just a little bit further in order to save some money, but believe us when we say that the cost of taking care of the problem upfront will be far lower than letting it get out of hand; routine tire replacements are essential.

Aside from the cost and safety issues, you'll just have a better time driving on fresh tires! Vehicle enjoyment and vehicle maintenance go hand in hand; take care of your vehicle, and your vehicle will take care of you!
