Job Title: Finance Manager

Reports To: Finance Director / General Manager

Summary: Produces additional revenue for the dealership by selling finance and insurance programs to customers by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Sells financing, credit lines, extended service contracts and other dealer products to customers within established sales objectives.*
  2. Establishes and maintains good working relations with financial institutions.*
  3. Prepares and follows up on all rate quotations provided in a timely manner.*
  4. Checks all customer information from different sources such as titles, lien information, taxes, and other vehicle purchase details.*
  5. Prepares and submits financial paperwork generated form sales to financial institutions for approval.* Responsible for follow up of all contract issues until deal is funded.

Summary: Ensures quality customer service through the efficient operation of the warehouse/Shipping and Receiving Department by performing the following duties.

  1. Loads and unloads delivery vehicles to include lifting and carrying merchandise and stocking in appropriate areas throughout the warehouse.*
  1. Unloads pallets and heavier materials.*
  1. Verifies quantities of deliveries and merchandise serial numbers by comparing merchandise to packing slips.*
  1. Receives and visually examines incoming deliveries for discrepancies or damages, stores in the appropriate area by manufacturer and notifies management of discrepancies.*

Summary:  Mediates between customers and the Service Department on requested repair, warranty and preventative maintenance service orders by performing the following duties.

  • Retrieves customer vehicles into the service area for service.*
  • Reviews service orders and inspects vehicles accordingly for additional repairs or malfunctions by test driving or troubleshooting vehicle operation.*
  • Applies technical knowledge to diagnose cause of vehicle malfunctions.*
  • Obtains final approval prior to performing additional repairs.*
  • Responds to repair inquiries in a prompt manner.*
  • Performs repairs and maintenance service work requested in accordance with quality and efficiency standards.*
  • Apples knowledge and ability to safely utilize all tools and equipment to include: “creeper”, pneumatic and hand tools, brake lathes, tire mounting/balancing/alignment machines, pressure washers, hydraulic jacks, welding equipment/torches, vehicle lifts, and diagnostic equipment.*
  • Retains and tags removed parts under warranty for return to the manufacturer.*
  • Test drives and assures proper operation of all vehicles in accordance with Department of Motor Vehicles standards.*
  • Completes vehicle inspections according to established procedures.*

  • Maintains technical competence by attending all classes and shop meetings as requested, and reading all service bulletins to maintain needed skills.*
  • Cleans shop area by sweeping, removing refuse, washing floors and removing parts from floor area.*
