Out of 1,000 surveys our technicians have a score of over 96% for Fixed Right the First time!

The Service Team’s Quality index is at a 96.2!

Year to Date Ralph Honda’s team is ahead of Honda’s District (90.3), New England Zone (89.6) and National (90.1) with a score of 93!

Service Tips
8 Tips for Prolonging a Vehicles’ Reliability and Life

Tip 1 – Check the Oil Every Two Weeks
Many people leave this easy to do maintenance tip for months at a time and some do not check it at all. Oil is like wine to your engine and regular topping up of oil will make all the difference to prolonging car life. Every three months, change the oil completely. Ensure you use the correct viscosity when you are topping up or replacing the oil. While you are about it check your water levels too, and if they need it top up with water and anti-freeze. These are all excellent ways of extending engine life.

Tip 2 – Check Tire Pressure
Regular checks on your tire pressures, preferably including the spare, will not only save you money on fuel bills, but give your car more protection against bumps and lumps that your car experiences on a daily basis. The less bumps and lumps means less damage to the cars suspension and internal parts becoming loose. This is an easy task and one that is good for prolonging car life. Every 6 months you may want to rotate the tires too, as the front and rear tires wear at different rates.

Tip 3 – Replace Oil Filter
The oil filter rapidly fills up with impurities and when they do they become less effective. This leads to impurities running through the car that can damage sensitive areas of it, such as the engine. It is good practice to replace the filter every three months to ensure this does not happen.

Tip 4 – Check Battery
By checking the battery periodically. You’ll insure trouble free driving. Modern battery testers can determine the approximate battery life you can expect.

Tip 5 – Waxing and Lubrication
The car body is often prone to rust and scrapes. Waxing the body on a 6 monthly basis will prevent this natural deterioration from happening. Waxing is a very important element to prolonging car life. Also, lubricate hinges and latches to keep them running well and prevent deterioration.

Tip 6 – Check Brake Fluid
Every 6 months or so check your brake fluid levels and condition. Brake fluid is hydroscopic, which means it attracts moisture, moisture in fluid will contribute to premature failure of calipers, master cylinder, and other components. Brake caliper failures are no fun.

Tip 7 – Check Brake Lining
The brake lining/pads are the parts of the brake system that slows the wheels. The wear and tear on this component is considerable and so a yearly check is in order to ensure there is enough lining to do the job. Periodic cleaning and lubing the of the braking components including pad contact areas is critical to long brake life.

Tip 8 – Drain and Refill Radiator
Draining the radiator and heater core, and subsequently replacing the coolant, will help to get rid of impurities in the coolant system that build up over time, and minimize the damage that these impurities cause to the system. This should be done at least on a yearly basis depending on miles driven.

Dan became the Finance Manager at Ralph Honda almost 10 years ago. An extremely hard worker, he was commonly here hours after everyone else had gone home — often as late as 11 pm during weekdays and until 8 or 9 pm on Saturdays — taking care of all of the behind-the-scenes details. A special “Thank You” to his wife, Deborah, for the many sacrifices on her part as Dan worked these late hours, putting his heart and soul into every aspect of the job.

We appreciate Dan’s level of professionalism, honesty and integrity that has helped support our Ralph Honda Done Right culture over the years. He has been an integral part of our success and growth, and we will miss him greatly!

Meet Jim Hunter – Business Manager:


My name is Jim Hunter and I have been in the automobile business since 1995. I have served as a Salesman, Internet Sales Manager, Business Manager and Sales Manager over the years mostly with domestic models. I am excited to be working with Hondas and offering Honda products and am especially excited to be a part of the Ralph Done Right Experience.

I have 3 children who are mostly grown and 2 beautiful granddaughters. I enjoy football and have been a Patriots fan since 1975. I also love to play tennis and am getting pretty used to my son beating me; someday I hope that will change.

I have been in the car business for almost 25 years with experience in Honda as well as General Motors. I hold certifications and accolades from both in Finance and Management and am focused on the customer experience. As the oldest of nine children I married my wife Karen (one of seven) and we have 5 children. Family time is busy and fun. I am active in my community coaching Lacrosse as well as CYO basketball in Penfield where we reside.
